InterX Pharmacy

For patients

Your safety is the whole point.

Compounded medications should be as safe and as verifiable as anything off a shelf. Here is how we make sure yours is.

01

A prescription is always required

We only compound against a valid prescription from a licensed provider, and coordinate the fill directly with them.

02

Licensed 503A facility

Preparations are made in a facility registered with the FDA and licensed by the State of Florida, held to federal and state standards.

03

Compounded to USP standards

Sterile preparations follow USP <797>, and hazardous drugs are handled under USP <800>, protecting both staff and patients.

04

Tested before it ships

Every batch is checked for identity, potency and, for injectables, sterility and endotoxin, before it is released.

05

Proof you can read

A certificate of analysis ships with your order, so the strength on the label is the strength in the vial.

06

Shipped cold-chain

Orders are packed to keep temperature-sensitive medications stable and tracked all the way to your door.

Know the risks of compounded medications

Compounded preparations are not reviewed by the FDA for safety or effectiveness the way an approved commercial drug is. That is why we test every batch and release it with a certificate of analysis, but the responsibility for prescribing, dosing and monitoring stays with your provider. Always follow their instructions and disclose your full medical history before starting a compounded preparation.

Report a concern or an adverse event

If you notice anything unexpected after using a preparation we compounded, contact your prescribing provider right away and keep the vial and its packaging. You can also reach our pharmacy team through get in touch. Adverse events involving a medication can also be reported directly to the FDA through MedWatch, the FDA’s safety information and adverse event reporting program. Read more about how we test every batch on our quality page.
